Nedgroup Investments Cash Solutions is a specialist cash and liquidity manager within Nedgroup Investments. We believe money must work and enable investors in our range of cash type funds to earn fixed deposit type yields without having to lock up their funds for a fixed term. Nedgroup Investments Cash Solutions has since inception partnered with Taquanta Asset Managers as our Best of Breed™ fund manager. The Nedgroup Investments cash team manages the day to day operations and client interaction, while Taquanta manage the funds. There is much lazy cash in corporates, and other organisations, as well as in the hands of individuals. Financial Planners can assist client with liquidity management of their own cash, and that of other entities with which their clients are associated, by parking such cash in the Nedgroup Investments Cash Solutions funds. Unlike typical investing which has a longer term horizon, liquidity management is often short term. Nedgroup Investments Cash Solutions encourage those with surplus cash to make use of our funds, for small and large amounts, and over the short or longer term. It all adds up!

About Cash and Liquidity

Professional corporate treasurers use cash type Collective Investments Schemes extensively as an alternative to call accounts. The funds are managed with a capital preservation mindset, in high quality, short duration fixed income instruments. These funds offer a one stop shop into a diversified range of issuers – predominantly big four South African banks, and due to the average term to maturity of the basket of instruments held in the fund, they offer fixed deposit type yields. However, the funds also include large cash balances. These cash balances provide the liquidity, while the longer dated instruments provide the yield. The funds are highly regulated and independently rated. Users of the funds also benefit from the large scale, buying power and relationships the fund manager has with big issuers. This all combines to make these compelling vehicles in which to park cash at superior yields until this needs to be re-deployed.
